Up for sale, is a WWII US Military M1 helmet with a rear seam and swivel bales. The interior heat batch marking is "H866" made by McCord Radiator in Detroit. This heat number dates from approximately March-May, 1944. The heat number is an oddity because it should be 866A,B,C,or D, etc., not preceded by an "H", but if you look at the image, it's an "H" (not an "11"). So, I can't explain it, but there it is... The helmet has the older stainless steel rim and light green chin strap. The rim has just minor missing paint mostly on it's edge (see all images). It was probably refurbished at the end of WW2 for use in Korea. Unfortunately, there is no liner. It appears to be in very good, used, condition, with excellent paint, except some minor signs of past use. It came from a local estate and is ready to join your WWII collection... and, the price includes FREE USPS SHIPPING...Please carefully look at the images, as this is the item that you will be receiving...Returns: no returns on this lot.GOOD LUCK & THANKS FOR YOUR BUSINESS !! 1944 WW2 US MCCORD M-1 REAR SEAM SWIVEL BALE STEEL HELMET NO LINER - FREE SHIP 1944 WW2 US MCCORD M-1 REAR SEAM SWIVEL BALE STEEL HELMET NO LINER - FREE SHIP
