ITEM: When motion picture company's like MGM would send their movie reels to theater managers across the country, their delivered package would include posters or lobby cards along with other movie trade publication materials such as these 4 vintage original 1941 litho prints so as to introduce the managers to the upcoming film. Great pieces of cinema history with Ziegfeld Girl renditions created by 4 different artists to "capture the spirit of the Ziefgeld Girl" on the front and movie information on verso. The artists include McClelland Barclay, John La Gatta, Neysa McMein and Gilbert Bundy.
These are movie trade publication lithos given to theater managers and not to the general public. There are other versions of these prints currently being sold on , but these 4 lithos are all different then what are being sold on making these more scarce. Feel free to compare and look towards the bottom of the prints and you'll see these lithos have different info written on the bottom, plus these lithos have movie information on verso, unlike the other prints currently being sold on .
