Vintage U.S. Navy Machinist’s Mate First Class (MM1) rating badge featuring beautiful raised metallic bullion embroidery.
The badge displays the traditional U.S. Navy eagle, a three-bladed propeller specialty mark identifying the Machinist’s Mate rating, and three red chevrons representing Petty Officer First Class.
This is a particularly attractive older example with substantial raised bullion work rather than the appearance of an ordinary modern embroidered patch. The metallic embroidery has developed a dark aged patina that adds wonderful character.
