1938 Hindenburg Zeppelin over Friedrichshafen Vintage Postcard 4P23-21 For Sale

Sepia-toned view of the Hindenburg LZ 129 above Friedrichshafen harbor, with waterfront buildings, a passenger vessel and distant mountains. The front German caption identifies the airship and Friedrichshafen am Bodensee; swastika markings appear on the tail fins. The reverse has German handwriting dated 20.8.38, a green 6-pfennig German stamp, a Friedrichshafen cancellation and a faint blue rectangular marking. Printed reverse text gives Zeppelin dimensions and credits Verlag Aubert Ulrich, Ravensburg. The front shows rubbed corners, edge wear and several pale surface marks across the airship; the reverse shows toning and faint scattered marks. Some handwriting and the blue marking are difficult to read.
