Beautiful antique handmade floral appliqué quilt, dated 1936 in blue hand embroidery on the back. It has a cheerful yellow-and-cream lattice ground with colorful raised appliqué flowers and leaves, plus allover hand quilting in a feathered/leaf design.
This is a genuine old quilt with wonderful texture, skillful handwork, and display-worthy spring color. It would work beautifully as bedding, wall décor, a textile collection piece, or carefully repurposed material.
Condition is consistent with age and use. There are several areas of fabric loss/holes in the floral appliqué, especially purple and lavender petals, along with light discoloration/spotting and age-related wear. Please inspect all photographs closely; they are part of the description.
