1935 Rockefeller Center Weekly + Guided Tour Ticket NBC Studio Tour NYC Ephemera- Original 1935 Rockefeller Center and NBC Radio City Studios ephemera collection from New York City.
An exceptional period grouping dating to June 1935, including:
• Rockefeller Center Guided Tours $1.00 admission tag/ticket, handwritten and dated JUNE 26, 1935, with original metal wire attachment
• Rockefeller Center Weekly, June 20, 1935, Vol. 2, No. 25 — just six days before the date written on the tour tag. Cover features Vyvian Keefer in the Silk Guild Fashion Show, Gardens of the Nations.
• NBC Studio Tour brochure for the National Broadcasting Company's Radio City Studios, featuring a striking early NBC microphone graphic
Of particular interest, the reverse of the Rockefeller Center tour tag states:
“Price of $1.00 paid for Guided Tour includes 10c. for a copy of Rockefeller Center Weekly.”
The accompanying June 20, 1935 issue of Rockefeller Center Weekly therefore makes an especially appropriate addition to this grouping. While no claim is made that this particular copy was issued with this exact tour tag, both are from the same period and are closely related Rockefeller Center souvenirs.
The Weekly contains fascinating period articles, photographs and advertisements relating to Rockefeller Center and 1930s New York, including material for the Rainbow Room and Rainbow Grill.
CONDITION:
All pieces are original vintage items showing age and use.
The Rockefeller Center Weekly has noticeable handling and storage wear, including creasing, edge wear, cover wear and areas of paper/surface loss, particularly on the rear cover.
