1931/1932 PHILCO Model 570 Grandfather Clock Radio Model 70 Superheterodyne For Sale

Antique, vintage, tallcase grandfather clock radio. "Clock Radio!". This must be one of the first clock radios ever!It has the very collectible model 70 Philco radio, a big speaker and a clock which has the original components, as-is. Clock manufactured by Lux Clock Mfg Co (Lux Clock Manufacturing Company) of Waterbury, Connecticut.

All the tubes are there from what I can tell (no assurances), but I have not tested anything.

The cabinet is in excellent condition with all veneer intact and a nice original finish. Dusty and some scratches or rubbings. Dials intact and plate is complete (but needs small screws).

As this is unrestored, it is soldAs Is.Condition: not working. Apparently all (seven) tubes and components, but uknown.
Purchased from antique dealer's estate, who owned it for several decades, unrestored.

Both had a "carved maple scrolltop". My set has the mahogany finish.The 570's list price for Christmas of1931 was $89.50, complete withtubes.The model 570 incorporates Philco's 7-tubeBalanced Superheterodynechassis, also used in themodel 70Baby Grand. Like my model 70, thisradio has the type I chassis,
