Vintage Nuart bronzed metal bookends of Roycroft founder Elbert Hubbard who was a major influence in the American Arts & Crafts Movement of the late 19th-early 20th century.
These bookends date from the early 1930\'s and are cast in metal with a lush bronze finish. Each is identical, depicting Hubbard sitting on top of a pile of books and reading a large folio. The back is embossed \"© NUART CREATIONS N.Y.C.\" The undersides are hollow.
Each stands 6.5\" tall by 5.25\" wide by 4\" deep, and each weighs almost 3.5 lbs. apiece.
