1930s-40s Order Eastern Star Celluloid Mechanical Pencil OES Masonic 3.75\" For Sale

Wonderful vintage Order of the Eastern Star mechanical pencil dating approximately to the 1930s-1940s.

Measuring just 3.75 inches long, this compact pocket or purse pencil features a beautiful pearlescent cream/yellow celluloid-type body with gold-tone metal fittings and a colorful Order of the Eastern Star emblem.

The five-pointed Eastern Star emblem remains remarkably crisp for its age, retaining its traditional red, blue, yellow, white and green sections with their individual symbols. The luminous marbled body has wonderful depth and period character.

The removable upper cap conceals the original eraser, while the opposite end houses the mechanical pencil point. A gold-tone pocket clip, center band and decorative tip complete the design.

CONDITION:

Very attractive vintage condition for its age. The pearlescent body presents beautifully and the Eastern Star emblem remains unusually clean and colorful. The gold-tone metal components show expected age-related tarnish, oxidation and finish wear, particularly to the clip and center band. Eraser is present but is old and should be considered collectible rather than usable. Please review photographs closely for condition and details.
