Confirmed by acknowledged bottle authorities this bottle is a unique Frankenbottle. It is a 1930s Mixed-Mold Factory Variant / Multi-Anomaly Quart. An exceptional industrial crossover piece featuring a unique configuration from the Elmira (N1) plant.

Key Physical Anomalies

• The Base Logo: An unrecorded, highly complex hand cut stylized Thatcher MTC monogram featuring an elongated split T-stem and a prominent, two-tiered shelter crossbar. This was personalized by the mold engraver.
• DoweledBase Modification: A distinct, faint circular ring around the \'1\' of the N1 mark—physical evidence of a bench-top tool modification of an existing mold where the digit was drilled out, plugged with a metal dowel, and hand-re-engraved on the factory floor.
• 11B1 Heel Sequence: An unusual horizontal code layout that bypasses standard high-volume formatting and ignores NYS bottle regulation identification
• Dual Mismatched Monograms: Features the unique stylized logo on the base paired with a completely separate, standard corporate monogram on the heel.
• Front-Half Casting: All embossing, the word REGISTERED, the factory logo, and the tracking codes are placed entirely on the front half of the two-piece side-seam mold, leaving the reverse completely blank.

This is a “one off” bottle assembled to quickly complete an order placed by Rice bros during their initial early years of milk delivery. Later Rice Bros bottles have the standard 1A11 heel code and era appropriate MTC logo

Up for sale is a piece of local Suffern, Rockland County and Hudson Valley dairy history. This antique glass quart milk bottle from Rice Bros. Dairy in Suffern, New York, dates back to the early 1930s. It represents one of the earliest bottles issued by this independent family dairy at the very start of their business operations.
