1930 Era Hammond Electric Synchronous Clock For Sale

Note: I revised the text in this listing by removing a statement that I made that this clock could be a Como model. I received a friendly text from a gentleman that the housing appears to be associated with a Glenmora model, and the clock works appears to be associated with a Como model. With that said I am just listing this clock as only to the manufactures name, Hammond, based on that is the name printed on the dial face. Please due your research on this item prior to offerding. This listing is for a1930 Era Hammond Electric Synchronous Clock of the Spin-Start design. When I acquired this clock decades ago someone cut off the cord about 4 inches from where it exits the back of the clock. The original cord was cloth covered and the remaining section appeared in good condition. I stripped back some of the conductor insulation and temporary powered it up with 120-volts AC. The clock appeared to operate with no issues, so I soldered in a line cord, installed heat shrink tubing over each splice and wrapped the spliced conductors over with a layer of electrical tape.as a temporary fix. I am sure whoever restores this clock they would want a cloth covered cord installed on the clock like the original. I ran the clock for about 4 hours without issues. Other than the power cord the remainder of this clock appears to be all original with no major damage to the wooden case. The clock does have some minor missing finish at various areas on the housing which may not show up in the first 16 detailed photos. The finish has some light cracking which I believe to be in the finish rather than the veneer (you be the judge) so I took some detailed photos (the last six photos) of the various finish issues. Because of this items age I am listing this item AS-IS for parts or restoration with no returns. Please review all the photos and ask questions if needed prior to offerding. This listing is for the lower US 48 states only. Note: I am in the process of downsizing at this time and will be listing items a few times during the week of all sorts of vintage transistor and tube radios, vintage parts, test equipment, ham radio communication equipment and parts, all types of vintage electronics with many items going back to the early 20th century, vintage clocks and camera\'s so please check my response, save me as a seller and check back often. If it\'s collectable, you will find it here. Thank you.
