Original February 1929 issue of “Japan: Overseas Travel Magazine,” published in San Francisco by Nippon Yusen Kaisha (NYK Line).

Volume XVIII, Number 2. This 57-page vintage travel magazine features a striking Japanese-themed cover and extensive coverage of the imperial enthronement, including official photographs of Emperor Hirohito and Empress Nagako, ceremonial dress, processions, poetry, and related cultural traditions.

Also included are period photographs, illustrations, maps, travel articles, steamship schedules, fashion notes, and beautifully designed advertisements for NYK Line, Southern Pacific, and other travel services.
