Rare1928 Chevrolet Gryphon / Griffin radiator-cap hood ornament, an impressive early Chevrolet accessory featuring a dramatic Art Deco winged griffin.

This distinctive mascot features a fierce griffin/gargoyle-style head with open mouth, extremely tall upright wings with geometric detailing, and an integrated round radiator cap. The design has a striking appearance and is one of the more unusual early Chevrolet radiator ornaments.

TheGryphon radiator ornament is documented for 1928 Chevrolet applications, including Chevrolet AB National passenger cars and certain 1928 Chevrolet trucks. Early Chevrolet specialist The Filling Station catalogs the Gryphon ornament asVT-46.
