Original 1924 Trinity Chapter No. 38, Royal Arch Masons program/meeting notice from Atlantic City, New Jersey.
Dated February 4, 1924, this attractive red-printed Masonic piece was issued for Trinity Chapter No. 38, R.A.M., announcing its regular convocation to be held February 12, 1924.
The illustrated cover reads:
“Trinity Chapter No. 38 – Royal Arch Masons”
“Where Incense Burns”
“Meets Second Tuesday in Masonic Temple – Atlantic City, New Jersey.”
The interior includes a complete “Officers for 1924” listing, including:
- Harold L. Boston – Most Excellent High Priest
- Floyd M. Smith – Excellent King
- Oscar M. Potter – Excellent Scribe
- Frederick Hickman – Principal Sojourner
- Arthur J. Cubbage – Royal Arch Captain
- J. G. Hammer – Secretary
- Lewis W. Grieve – Treasurer
- Additional officers, trustees and Past High Priests
Of particular historical interest is a notice concerning the chapter's planned new Masonic Temple, stating:
“The time is ripe. Our Temple is assured. Ground will be broken May 1st of the present year.”
The meeting announcement also identifies Right Excellent Companion Howard S. Carter, District Deputy, whose official inspection visit was scheduled for the February 12 102 years old and shows age-related wear consistent with an original paper item of this period. There is toning/age discoloration, scattered spotting/foxing, fold/crease lines and general handling wear. Printing remains attractive and readily legible. Please examine all photographs closely for the exact condition.
