Offered is an original 1924 Jell-O advertising and recipe booklet titled Polly Put the Kettle On, We\'ll All Make Jell-O, featuring wonderful period illustrations associated with renowned American artist Maxfield Parrish.
Published by the Genesee Pure Food Company of Le Roy, New York, this charming booklet was created during Jell-O\'s highly successful early advertising campaigns. Maxfield Parrish was among the prominent artists commissioned to create imagery for Jell-O, making surviving advertising pieces from this period especially appealing to collectors of Parrish, early American advertising and food ephemera.
The colorful front cover depicts a colonial kitchen scene with the slogan:
Polly put the kettle on we\'ll all make JELL-O
The back cover features another striking period Jell-O illustration with the slogan America\'s Most Famous Dessert.
Inside are beautifully illustrated recipes and serving suggestions for Jell-O, including molded desserts, salads and entertaining menus. An especially colorful section advertises Jell-O Ice Cream Powder.
This example is complete with all 18 pages and retains its original string binding.

Condition
Good vintage condition. There is moderate overall age toning along with scattered foxing and spotting, particularly along the covers and page margins. Light handling and edge wear are present as expected for a paper advertising booklet more than 100 years old. The booklet remains complete, and the colorful illustrations display beautifully.
