Up for sale is an original 1923 vintage glass plate press negative capturing a group of young boys posing on and around a flooded, submerged automobile chassis in a waterfilled dump or junkyard in Boston, Massachusetts.

Outer Envelope Inscription: "Old Crust / Boys in dump / So. Boston [or S. Boston] / 1923" (with additional pencil notation "Great SHOT!")
Visual Content: Group portrait of over a dozen 1920s neighborhood boys in newsboy caps and overalls playing on a sunken vintage car cab in shallow, debris-filled water.

Condition
Very Good Vintage Condition. Original glass plate negative is intact with no cracks across the image field. Emulsion layer displays crisp focus and rich tonal range throughout the group portrait. Minor edge flaking along the far top glass margin as shown, well outside the main image area. Includes original handwritten storage envelope.
