• Vintage stoneware mixing bowl with a unique ribbed design and unglazed banded detailing.
Excellent antique condition. Shows an edge crack that was present during the firing as it is glazed over. Has a hairline crack at rim and a base chip. Typical antique stoneware age to be expected with interior worn and has crazing.
• Glazed in a rich robin’s egg blue with an unglazed top rim and lower unglazed shoulder side band.
• Crafted from aged yellow clay, typical of early American pottery from the 1920s-1940sk
• Measures approximately 10 inches in diameter and 5 inches tall.
Weighs approximately 3 lbs 13 oz
• Fired upside down in the kiln, leaving the unglazed rim—a signature of traditional stoneware production and a fully glazed bottom base.
• Likely made from the Ohio region with a tannish yellow stoneware clay.
