This listing is for an original 1919 Imperial Japanese Army Academy (Rikugun Shikan Gakkō) graduation photo yearbook, a rare and historically significant pre-World War II Japanese military publication.
This item was acquired in Japan during the Allied Occupation following World War II by a U.S. Army veteran of the 98th Signal Battalion, Company B, and has remained in family possession ever since.
Full provenance, including a copy of the veteran’s Honorable Discharge papers, will be provided privately to serious and vetted buyers upon request, consistent with my other WWII and occupation-era listings.
The Imperial Japanese Army Academy trained Japan’s professional officer corps, and this 1919 volume offers a unique photographic and documentary record of academy life and graduates shortly after World War I and decades before World War II.
