This is an Authentic WWI Poster by artist Clarence Underwood, saying "Back Our Girls Over There."It has Great Color & Design, with a great Historical Interest in the Women's War Effort.
*This particular poster was Nick-Named "the Hello Girl" because this operator took calls from the service men and connected them to the parties in the U.S.
*The poster measures 28" x 21" & is in excellent vintage condition, with only 1 tear (see Photo #4) & a few small "nibbles" on a few edges (see Photo #6).
*On the Photos shown I have used heavy kitchen knives to hold down the edges & to show these areas. On the 1 tear, I was afraid to use any scotch tape even on the back-side of the poster, because I didn't want to damage it further. I bought this in the 1970's and it's been carefully & safely stored away in its own roller tube--this is the first time I've ever offered it for sale.
*Look over all the photos as part of the description--enlarge, enhance, magnify them--to judge for yourself the Great Dark Colors & the Fine Design of the entire piece--it's a superb example of the women's war effort at a distinct time in history when everyone did their part; historically, it is an awesome antique treasure!
