Original The New York Times Mid-Week Pictorial, November 1, 1917 (Vol. VI, No. 9), featuring one of the most iconic American World War I cover images—a British Mark IV tank traveling through New York City during the Liberty Loan Parade of October 25, 1917.
This issue includes additional interior photograph of the tank arriving in New York Harbor as well as numerous illustrated articles and photographs covering the Western Front, British cavalry, artillery positions, and other First World War subjects.
Magazine measures approximately 11 x 16 inches.
Condition is good overall for its age. The cover displays very well but has a horizontal fold, light pencil catalog notation at the upper left, edge wear, small chips, and several spine tears. Interior pages remain complete but are delicate with age-related brittleness along some edges. Please review all photographs carefully for condition.
A scarce WWI pictorial with outstanding cover art and strong display appeal.
