This remarkable piece of Pennsylvania history is more than 110 years old and provides a fascinating look at Northampton County and the surrounding Lehigh Valley during the early automobile era.
One of the highlights of this volume is the large original folding Farm Journal map of Lehigh and Northampton Counties, Pennsylvania. Copyrighted 1914, the detailed map shows towns, villages, roads, railroads, interurban electric lines, main automobile routes and other period transportation routes throughout the two counties.
The roads shown on the map were numbered to correspond with the Farmers’ Directory, making this an especially interesting historical reference for genealogists, local historians, property researchers and collectors.
