Items from the TStL&W are seldom found, but I offer for sale a preferred stock certificate dated September 4, 1913 for 20 shares. Description The Toledo, St. Louis & Western Railroad Company (TStL&W), also known as the Clover Leaf Route, served portions of Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and Missouri. Originally formed in 1881, its lines served Chicago, Toledo, St. Louis, Kansas City, and Detroit. At one time it controlled and operated the Chicago & Alton Railroad. The New York, Chicago & St. Louis Railroad, better known as the Nickel Plate, acquired the TStL&W in 1922. The Nickel Plate, in turn, was acquired by the Norfolk & Western Railway (N&W) in 1964. Surviving lines of the TStL&W are now primarily owned and operated by Norfolk Southern.

Items from the TStL&W are seldom found, but I offer for sale a preferred stock certificate dated September 4, 1913 for 20 shares. Affixed to the back are two State of New York stock transfer stamps. The stock measures appx 11x8 inches and is printed on md-weight paper. The stock is in very good condition, with no rips or tears, All writing/markings are from its preparation and processing.
