1911 English lawn bowling trophy engraved Working Mens Bowls Club 1911 Holt. The tall stemmed cup form reflects the traditional style of early 20th century British sporting trophies awarded at local competitions and club matches. Working mens clubs were important social institutions throughout Britain, offering recreation, sport, and community gathering places for laborers and tradesmen. The silverplate surface shows rich multicolor tarnish which has been intentionally left in place to preserve the authentic aged character of the piece.
