These are authentic \"pocket miniatures\" or \"miniature line samples\" carried by traveling sales agents to showcase the company\'s upcoming art line to local business merchants. Because these are advance factory review proofs, they have never had calendar pads or staples attached, leaving the cardstock completely intact with the original factory punch holes at the top.
All of the portraits feature the iconic romantic artwork of elite Canadian-born illustrator James Ross Bryson (1856–1918), renowned for his highly stylized \"Bryson Girls.\" Each piece features a printed copyright line, sequential catalog numbers, and Bryson\'s elegant signature in the artwork matrix.
Please note damage to the face on the Prospective Bride print. The back of this card also has W.E. Kuhns hand written on the back. Items came from a collection of photos and ephemera from Kuhns of Frankfort, South Dakota.
