Original 1905 The Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York Five Per Cent Twenty Year Gold Bond Policy, issued to Stephen S. McKenna of Tucson, Pima County, Arizona Territory.
Policy No. 1,570,949, dated March 7, 1905, with a stated amount of $3,000 and an annual deposit of $79.86.
This is an interesting piece of early 20th-century Arizona Territory historical ephemera, dating from seven years before Arizona became a state in 1912.
The original large folding document features ornate period typography and graphics and includes printed policy terms, tables, handwritten information and signatures. Also included is the original Mutual Life Insurance Company of New York envelope/folder, marked with the policy number, insured’s name and amount.
Condition: Antique condition with age-related toning, folds, creases, staining and general handling wear. The original outer envelope/folder shows heavier wear, including tears and damage along the upper edge. Please review all photos carefully, as they are part of the description.
