Original 1903 “Merry Months” illustrated calendar, published by Ernest Nister of London and E. P. Dutton & Co. of New York. Marked “Printed in Bavaria – 228” along the bottom of the cover.

This beautiful Edwardian-era calendar features richly colored romantic illustrations following a young couple through the months of the year. The scenes depict the pair in period-style dress surrounded by flowers and seasonal outdoor settings, accompanied by decorative verses and complete 1903 calendar months.

The decorative cover reads “Merry Months – Calendar for 1903” and features the couple beside a garden swing surrounded by pink blossoms. Subsequent illustrated pages cover February/March, April/May, June/July, August/September/October and November/December, making this a complete January through December 1903 calendar.

Beautifully produced on textured heavy paper/card stock with scalloped decorative edges, elaborate floral borders, colorful illustrations and metallic/gilt accents. The original pink ribbon binding remains present at the top.

Condition is antique/preowned with expected age-related wear, including light toning, scattered spotting/foxing, minor edge and surface wear and some faint writing/marks on the reverse.
