At that time, it was primarily a growing, mixed-income and affluent neighborhood (associated with areas like Olde Towne East) home to prominent white industrialists, business owners, and families, alongside major institutional landmarks like the Ohio Institution for the Education of the Blind.While the Near East Side and Olde Towne East areas of Columbus were home to a growing, economically diverse, and historically significant African American community alongside prominent white industrialists and families around 1903, micro-level wealth rankings for Black residents on specific blocks like Parsons Avenue from that exact year are not documented in mainstream historical archives. Wealth and Development: The areas surrounding Parsons Avenue featured large homes belonging to wealthy civic leaders, brewers, and merchants. Penciled on verso top edge reads a number 35 over 6 nov 03 PARSONS AVE COL OH. If 35 was the street address, its long gone. On google map it shows apartments and condos. Look at the tall pillars and shades hanging down. I believe this is the back porch of the house. This man had great wealth. I couldn't find his identity. The museum in columbus might know, I've sold them photo's before. Overall measures 8 X 10". Image measures 4 & 5/8 X 6 & 7/8". Just remember enlarged photos or scans tend to exaggerate any flaws.
