Excellent early Western image showing a cowboy on horseback holding a lasso with a large herd of cattle spread across the Sherman Ranch in Kansas. Copyrighted 1902 by B. L. Singley and published by Keystone View Company. The Smithsonian National Museum of American History has an example of this exact stereograph in its collection.
The reverse retains the original lengthy printed description discussing the Kansas plains, cattle ranching and Roosevelt’s Rough Riders. There is also old handwritten identification/notation on the reverse.
Condition: Good original antique condition with expected age toning, light staining/soiling, edge and corner wear, and some handwritten notation on the reverse. Image remains quite strong with good contrast and detail. Please review photographs for exact condition.
