Original Round Rock White Lime Co. illustrated billhead from Round Rock, Texas, dated February 7, 1901. The heading identifies Wm. Walsh & Co. as proprietors.
Features an elaborate industrial illustration showing the lime works, kilns, buildings, railroad freight cars, workers, barrels and horse-drawn wagons. Decorative lettering advertises premium white lime, Portland and Rosendale cements, plaster, hair, fire brick, fire clay and building materials.
The printed heading describes the business as “The Oldest and Largest Lime Works in Texas” and states “Facilities for Shipping Unexcelled.”
Based on our reading of the handwriting, the bill was issued to M. T. Jones Lumber Co. in Houston and records 110 barrels of lime, with freight deductions and additional accounting notations. A handwritten shipping notation appears to refer to Cuero, Texas.

Condition: Age toning, prominent folds and diagonal creases, wrinkles, edge tears, chipped edges and small areas of missing paper. Two round filing holes pass through the illustrated heading. Additional small punctures and tears are present in the lower portion. Ink and pencil accounting marks are visible. The detailed illustration and much of the writing remain clear.
An attractive example of early Texas industrial advertising and commercial paperwork, with interest for collectors of illustrated billheads, lime works, railroad imagery and Round Rock history.
