18th Century Double Compartment Enameled Meissen Snuff Box.
Decorated in grisaille with scenes on the lids and sides of pastoral courtship, the inside of the lids with portraits of a woman and her suitor, black and white scenes on the underside (with wear as shown) and 2 small sides.
There are cracks and very heavy crazing and some small pieces of painted enamel have broken off of the inside left scene (yellow dress), and some missing on the exterior as well (pink dress.) There are many cracks all over the box and lids as shown in photos.
The lids and the metal fittings for the lids are solid and work well.
Postage and signature delivery confirmation is $12.00. All offers will be respectfully considered and I happily combine postage.
