Original 1895 handwritten letter dated July 18th from William Boyle of Salem, Ohio, addressed to the Columbia Lodge No. 32, I.O.O.F. (Independent Order of Odd Fellows) in Circleville, Ohio. The letter includes mention of a Post Office money order for $1.25, sent to cover dues for the current term. Nicely penned in brown ink on ruled paper with elegant script, this piece reflects fraternal communication and membership responsibilities of the late 19th century. Signed "William Boyle" and ending with "In F.L. & T." (Friendship, Love, and Truth — the I.O.O.F. motto). Great piece of Odd Fellows and Ohio fraternal history.
