This listing is for an ANTIQUE SCRAPBOOK - COMMENCED in 1889 and FINISHED DECEMBER 31, 1897. PROPERTY OF CATHARINE H... (I cannot decipher the remaining letters of the last name). Over 50 pages of material - additional blank pages. Seems to be from Colerain and Philadelphia Pennsylania.
PATENT BACK SCRAP BOOK - PAT. MARCH 28, 1876 - hardcover - paper over cardboard
Many newspaper clippings and multiple school and church programs. Also a few handwritten notes and a drawing including Hollond Memorial Presbyterian Churh and Normal School programs plus other newspaper and magazine clippings, and possibly a civil war poem to a lost relative.
The horse drawing measures approx 7.75" x 3.75" and is glued, vertically, on one of the pages.
Condition: antique wear with expected warping, fading and discoloration - also tears and separation - spine cover is separated and NOT included - all pages appear to be intact
Measures:approx. 8" x 10" x 1.5" thick
