A pocket-sized promotional calendar from 1889, issued by the Home Insurance Company of New York. The folding Paper Ruler is 12 inches opened, and 3 inches when folded.
These were very common \"swag\" items in the late 19th century, designed to be kept in a vest pocket or wallet.
Good vintage condition. Minor age-toning, foxing and discoloration marks. Edges show light rubbing and minor corner bumping consistent with age. No major tears or creases. Printing remains sharp and clear.
