• Original 1884–1885 Indenture Deed between the Commissioners of Schuylkill County, Pennsylvania (Daniel Boyer, John Leahy, and A.J. Shortall) and Henry C. Russell, for 12 acres of unseated land in Pinegrove Township. The deed was printed by Standard Publishing Co., Pottsville, PA and formally executed with seals and signatures of the commissioners and witnesses.

  Included is a handwritten transfer statement dated April 23, 1885, in which Russell assigns and conveys “all right, title and interest” in the described tract to Jacob J. Rhoads, indicating the land was originally purchased in trust for Rhoads.

  This document represents a fine example of 19th-century Pennsylvania county land sales, featuring elaborate typeset headings (“This Indenture,” “Deed”), period penmanship, and complete official seals.
