Original antique bank check dated June 29, 1872, from Tompkins County National Bank in Ithaca, New York. This historical check is made out to John L. Lyon for $60.45 and features an orange 2-cent U.S. Internal Revenue stamp, properly affixed and canceled. Issued by the business Howell Brothers, with their name stylishly printed along the left margin. Nicely preserved with light edge wear and attractive 19th-century handwriting. A fine collectible item for those interested in early American banking, revenue stamps, or Ithaca/Upstate New York history.
