1870s American Made Straight Razor 6/8 The Celebrated Turner & Cowlishaw Nice: $60.00
**Keen hone shown in photos not included **The razor and box shown are included only.\"TURNER & COWLISHAW (T & C) MERIDEN, CONN.\". • Manufacturer: Turner & Cowlishaw was founded in 1872 in Meriden, Connecticut, by Joseph Turner (a Sheffield-trained master razor smith) and William Cowlishaw. • Timeline: Joseph Turner bought out Cowlishaw in 1876, and the company later merged with the J.R. Torrey Razor Company in 1880. This places the razor\'s manufacture between 1872 and 1876.The above description was found on Google. I guess that explains why it looks like a Sheffield razor. This is a cool one for sure. The scales are horn , but look to have been replaced at some time in the past. They fit the blade nice and could be salvaged and reused. They may be original , but they\'ve definitely been re pinned at the hing at some point. This is a great looking blade with light patina and no active rust that I can see. Still cuts hair but there are micro chips near the heel. It needs rehoned to be usable. There is light even honware on both sides of the blade. Please look at all the photos and ask any questions before buying!
