1860s President Abraham Lincoln CDV Ornate Frame w/Revenue Tax Stamp For Sale

This is a 1860s carte de visite featuring a portrait of Abraham Lincoln set in an ornate Victorian gilded frame design. The back features a 1-cent Civil War Revenue Tax Stamp. (specifically a 1Cent Proprietary stamp of George Washington) with a pencil-cancelled mark. This stamp places the CDV between August 1864 and August 1866 when the U.S. government required revenue stamps on photographs to raise money for the Civil War.
