Vintage Colt "Authentic Reproduction" Root Patent Colt display piece. Gold-tone label reads: COLT Authentic Reproduction, Root Patent Colt, improved model of 1855 pocket pistol, slide hammer "Store Gun," with a $2.00 price printed on the label. A small metal pistol replica is mounted behind clear plastic film on a woodgrain-look panel inside a gold-tone metal frame. The back is covered in a woodgrain-look material. Looks like an old store or counter display piece, and I am not aware of a maker mark.
CONDITION: Used vintage item with wear. The gold frame is bent and bowed along the right side. The clear plastic film is wrinkled, bulged and creased, with scratches and scuffs. The label is lightly scratched. The back covering has worn and rubbed areas with some orange fuzzy spots. The metal gun inside is dark with age. See all photos.
Ships buyer-paid via USPS Parcel, carefully packed. Returns not accepted.
