This historic financial document, dated May 9th, 1849, acknowledges the deposit of $1000 by Edwin Belknap to the credit of Hamilton & Sitwell for the use of SW Bank. Signed by M.R. Runnick. Attractive vintage piece with ornate border design and handwritten entries. Reverse notes the receipt details. Excellent addition for collectors of 19th-century banking or Rhode Island ephemera. Approx. 8" x 4". Shows typical age toning and fold marks.
