12 35mm Slides HONOLULU AIRPORT 1951 Douglas DC-4 CALIFORNIA EASTERN AIRWAYS

35mm slides taken with B&W film. Shot by a serviceman on his way to - or shortly before he went to - serve in Japan/Korea during the war. We have photos from his service in Japan & Korea from 1951 and 52 and he was definitely in the thick of things. The aircraft you see is a Douglas DC-4 / N4002B. It had a collision with another aircraft near Oakland in November 1951 - so I believe these photos were taken prior to that accident. We see a shot out front of the airport with servicemen. Few shots of the parking lot. A great shot inside the airport showing a counter where you could by orchids, leis, or send your posts by airmail. Three shots show stewardesses aboard the aircraft, and a few shot taken of the engines out the window.The definition of the lights and darks is much better than my scanner picks up. The stewardesses faces are NOT all washed out although focus is a little blurry on one.
