Vintage Hand-Painted Russian Lacquer Box – Sivka-Burka (Mstera, Signed)This is a genuine hand-painted Russian lacquer miniature box originating from the famous art village of Mstera (Мстёра). The lid artwork illustrates a scene from the classic Russian fairy tale \"Sivka-Burka,\" featuring Ivan, the castle princess, and the magical horse.  Origin: Marked Мстёра (Mstera / Mstiora) in gold ink on the lower-left corner.  Signature: Signed with the artist\'s initials П.В. (P.V.) on the lower-right corner.  Craftsmanship: Hand-painted on papier-mâché with a glossy black lacquer finish and ornate gold filigree scrollwork along the borders.  Condition: Excellent vintage pre-owned condition. Displays fine craquelure/crazing consistent with age.
