***Note spill on upper right of charger. Not sure if paint, or excess glaze. It does scrape off (with some difficulty) to reveal the original print below just fine. I did not want to accidentally damage it trying to clean it though. Sold as is because of this.I could not find a single other version of this exact plate & print sold online anywhere. Could be a very rare piece.

Mettlach (Villeroy & Boch, Saarland) made these print-under-glaze scenic chargers around 1890–1910, often on form 1044. Souvenir and parlor wall plates—not the 1980s Collectors Society issues.
