\"Crow Chief\" Native American Portrait 1908 for Wanamaker Expedition
Taken in 1908, printed in 1913 by Joseph K. Dixon (1856-1926) on an expedition funded by Rodman Wanamaker.
Between 1908 and 1913, Rodman Wanamaker funded three expeditions to document the lives and cultures of Native Americans. Prints of these photographs are also housed in the American Smithsonian\'s National Museum of the American Indian Archive Center.
