My grandmother Betty Escapule has passed along with my Grandfather Charlie Escapule who both owned and operated the State Of Maine Mining Co. This pour was the 1st gold pour when the mine reopned in 1971 after 73 years. Betty said this was poured into a 10 ounce mold stamped and put away until now.
My mother has inherited all items they kept during ownership of the Tombstone mine. She has decided to sell a few unique items. This is a great piece of Tombstone mining history!
