View Larger Image   Pflueger Skilkast No. 1953 Level Wind Reel   Description: This is a good working used fishing reel by Pflueger. It's a nice light duty reel with the about 97% of it's diamolite polished finish intact. It has handles that are an interesting plastic, gray with a white swirl in each (marbled). The reel is in good working condition with a good strong clicker. On the opposite side of the reel from the crank handle is the "MECHANICAL THUMBER" "ON OFF" control, for cast assistance. The mechanical thumber when fully in the ON position will not allow the spindle/spool of line to reverse while casting which stops the line tangling issue often experienced with other level line reels of this type without this feature. It is also marked "PATENTED PAT'S PEND" on one side, and "PFLUEGER SKILKAST TRADE MARK NO. 1953 MADE IN U.S.A.".
