View Larger Image   Salt & Pepper Rosenthal + Hat Pin Holder Violets German   Description: Offering this lovely set of salt and pepper shakers made of creamy white china, edged in gold - lettering is R & L. Each measures 2 3/4 inches tall, marked R C on bottom (Philip Rosenthal & Co, AG/Rosenthal Porcelain, Kronach Bavaria, Germany, circa 1901-1956). Near find condition, no cracks or chips, very minimal wear on gold accents. Also included is a lovely 4 inch tall porcelain hat pin holder in white and cobalt blue with hand painted violets and gold leaf decorations. 8 outer holes and one larger in center. Fine condition, no cracks or chips, no makers marks, approximately early 1900's. I grouped these shakers and hat pin holder together as they all have the same curved scalloped base and look so similar in style. If you do not want to use the salt and pepper shakers for their original use, you could set with the taller hat pin holder and place smaller pins it them also!
