View Larger Image   E&R Vase, Erphila, Czechoslovakia   Description: A vase that stands 10 in. tall in classic styling. White exterior with a turquoise blue interior. Base measures 6.5 in. diameter and does have several minor chips. These could be easily repaired but will not detract from display or use. Bottom marked E&R for Ebeling and Ruess, Erphila, Czechoslovakia. I believe this trademark was used in 1935. Ebeling and Ruess were importers located in Philadelphia, PA. and imported many fine pottery pieces from Czechoslovakia and other European countries. Czech items are very desirable to collect and display. I find no other cracks, hairlines etc. other than the chips mentioned. Please view images carefully. The last image displays what appears to be a worn signature, perhaps of the designer artist?.
