View Larger Image   Basket, Milk Glass,   Description: A shallow milk glass basket that measures 7.5 in. long and is 3.75 in. wide. Stands 4.5 in. tall to the top of the split handle. In displayable, usable condition although it does have a couple of nicks on the top edge on one side and a slight discoloration at the edge of the handle. I think this basket was produced by the Westmoreland Glass Co. but it is unmarked. This basket should date to about the '40's-'50's era. Pretty scalloped top edge. I believe the shallow baskets were used as jelly dishes originally. You must look closely to see the nicks, more apt to feel the roughness. Please view the images caarefully.
