Up for sale is a copy of an ORIGINAL and HISTORIC Newspaper the "NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE", dated Wednesday, July 24, 1822. It was published by Gales & Seaton, 3 times a week during the session of Congress and twice a week in the recess.
Read first hand what was happening in America during James Monroe's presidency.
It is a 2 page (4 pages front and back) newspaper measuring approximately 13 1/2" x 20".
The paper covers some important historical news of the time, andalso includes news on deaths, public notices, for rent, real estate and much, much more!
The paper is in Fair Condition. There is wear to the paper - there are many creases and tears along the edges. There are a number creases and in the middle of the editorials, as well. The over 190 year old paper also suffers from some staining, foxing, browning, spotting and type fading. There is writing along the top border of the front page.
This is an incredible chance to read about our countries history on the original day it was reported! A great opportunity for any collector or history buff to own a true piece of American history!
