December, 1953, Original 1st Issue PLAYBOY MAGAZINE, Monroe, Hefner, Good Cond. For Sale

Here we are offering the coveted and highly desirable, original, 1st issue of Playboy Magazine, the most sought after issue from December, 1953, published by Hugh Hefner, the magazine that featured the famous Marilyn Monroe centerfold.

This magazine is in overall good / very good condition with some signs of aging, as can be expected for a magazine over 70 years old.Not sure if the front cover replacement is from another original 1st issue of Playboy Magazine or a later reprint issue from the 2000's or a copy of either one.There are imperfections here and there but still in nice, presentable condition. Most notable imperfection, see last photo, is the inside back cover and last page of the magazine. There are a few tiny chips, some age spots and about 1/3 of the bottom last page and back cover are glued together. Most of the inside pages are in good / very good condition in our opinion with some age spots here and there. Lots of photos, so you be the judge of this great magazine's condition.

Playboy magazine will forever be recognized for its social significance in reflecting as well as contributing to popular American culture. Issue number one, featuring Marilyn Monroe on the cover, is one of the most recognizable icons of popular culture and Americana. Early issues are especially rare and highly collectible.
